Chapter 7 - The science of the future |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
About this chapterThis chapter begins with some of the limitations of contemporary science, despite the valuable contributions it has made and continues to make. The experimenter can influence the experiment by thoughts, feelings, moods, emotions or attitudes, even though traditionally, the so-called ‘scientific method’ is considered an approach that eliminates the influence of the experimenter. Evidence is increasing that not only human beings, but also plants and inanimate equipment, are influenced by mental processes. Newton’s laws apply very well at a gross level in the everyday lives of human beings. Under extreme conditions, such as at extremely high velocities or within atoms, however, Newton’s laws do not apply, hence the reason for quantum theory. In recent years, a number of scientists have realised that even quantum theory is limited or inadequate in explaining many phenomena of life consciousness, spiritual phenomena, the interaction between mind and matter. The author provides some understanding of the progress towards a holistic science, something that involves the study of spirit, mind and body or all dimensions of existence. Through his studies with the art of True Light - through personal experience and rudimentary experimentation - he considers that further research in this area will help the progress of an all-encompassing science that includes the divine, astral and physical realms. |

Comments from a scientist"Is the Future in Our Hands? is an excellent addition to the literature about Sukyo Mahikari . Dr. Tebecis provides an easy-to-understand description of how this practice of transmitting spiritual energy and its explanations of the world around us help ordinary people toward supportive and sustainable experiences in their lives. His first book brought the existence of this energy and its positive effects to many people’s attention. In this second book, Dr. Tebecis again draws on his training, curiosity, and attentiveness as a neuroscientist to describe Sukyo Mahikari’s practical usefulness in daily life. Dr. Tebecis’ many years as a practitioner and teacher of Sukyo Mahikari give strong conviction to his explanations of the value of this energy and Sukyo Mahikari’s approach. He describes to the reader many case histories and personal experiences which give life to his explanations. Also useful is his open discussion of the history of Sukyo Mahikari, its basic orientation, principles, and techniques, and how the organization has evolved since its inception. Today, physicists are describing multiple, coexisting dimensions in the universe. The True Light energy of Sukyo Mahikari is a positive, natural energy which brings the spiritual dimension of the universe closer. This book will give those readers seeking a deeper understanding of their own life - as well as those working to help others in fields such as medicine, science, business, education, and agriculture - ways to broaden their approach to meet the challenges of current times. Readers who have experienced Sukyo Mahikari will find descriptions in every chapter that help them explain its characteristics to their friends. Those who have not yet experienced it will likely find this book a sufficiently accessible and intriguing introduction to give Sukyo Mahikari a try." Dr Ellen Tabak, social and behavioral scientist, Washington D.C., U.S.A. |
